International education has been in my life since childhood. From participating in peace camp overseas to studying abroad in Israel, Thailand and Venezuela, intercultural relations have shaped my values. I love culture and traveling so much that I managed to make a career out of it. After conducting business worldwide and traveling to over 50 countries, I’m not only able to adapt but also understand the value of cross-cultural experiences.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Communications at Beloit College and my master’s degree in Intercultural Relations with a concentration in Training and Consulting from Lesley University. I started my profession in study abroad with CIEE concentrating on the Asia region. After working in international education at Harvard and Tufts, I went on to a long and rewarding career in international admission at Emerson College in Boston and as director of international admissions at Long Island University in New York.
I have led various workshops and presentations on topics ranging from marketing to international students in Latin America to determining how to maximize ROI. I have held several leadership positions at NAFSA: Association of International Educators as well as volunteered in mentorship programs to guide newcomers to the field.
